WHAT A TYPICAL EVENT LOOKS LIKE

  1. Sign a waiver and ensure you have proper footwear (close toed shoes).
  2. Meet your coach, who will explain the safety rules and provide a 5 minute instructional session.
  3. Your game starts! Choose which game mode your group would like to play & start throwing axes!
  4. If you would like to continue throwing after your group’s time expires you will have the option of purchasing additional time if there is axe lane availability.

Our Standard Axe Throwing Game

This is out most popular game mode. Our standard game consists of 5 or 10 throws per player with the objective of accumulating as many points as possible.

Standard Axe Throwing Target

Simply throw and aim for the bulls-eye and our digital scoreboard will record the scores of each player. In the event that the axe lands between 2 zones, the side that has more of the axe (from the outside of the white line) will be counted.

The Bullseye Moves With Each Throw

Don’t get too comfortable! The bullseye will move to a different part of the target after each throw. The scoring rings will change from round to round to keep you on your toes!

Smaller Challenge Targets

After a few rounds, the small blue & yellow redemption dots will get added – these tough-to-hit targets are worth a whopping 8 points each! Perfect for catching up from behind!

Other Axe Throwing Game Modes

At Axe Games we have a variety of other axe throwing games for your group to try!

Tic-Tac-Toe

Here is our twist on the classic X’s and O’s game! A simple, yet entertaining game perfect for groups of 2!

Hitting a square will set either an X or an O as players alternate throw for throw, but there’s a twist: If the opposing player hits a square that’s already been claimed, it will REMOVE any X or O already placed!

First player to have a line (horizontal, vertical or diagonal) of 3 of the same symbol wins!

Zombies!

Players must take out the Zombies while avoiding hitting the scared Emoji! Zombie = 1 point, any portion of the blade on the target counts as a hit.

Any Zombie hit will not respawn (each player’s board is unique to them).

The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins!

Christmas Game

Hitting the Ornaments or Stockings will provide the amount of points listed. Any part of the blade counts

Hitting the presents below will cause a player to lose points.
Items hit will not respawn (each player’s board is unique to them).

The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins!

Connect Four

Be the first player to have 4 connecting dots in a row! Can you balance accuracy with strategy?

A hit on any of the 5 columns will drop a chip down that column to the lowest un-occupied space. If there are already chips in any column, they will stack on top.

The first player to connect 4 in a row (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) wins!

Duck Hunt

In Duck Hunt, hitting the Rubber Duck will lose points. Regular duck hits = 1 point, any any portion of the blade on the target counts as a hit.

Any Duck hit will not respawn (each player’s board is unique to them).

The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins!
